What Women Want

I don't know, if I did I would be writing this blog from my own personal island somewhere is the Pacific surrounded by a dozen of beautiful women. ( hey ... snap out of it!)

But this is what I know:
  • When someone says that men and women are equal, they assume that the sexes are similar, and that is not the case.

I am not saying that one sex is better than the other, all I am saying is that men and women are wired differently.

  • Men base their decisions on logic
  • Women base their decisions on emotions

The reason we are this way is because in the ancient times men had to hunt, and protect their families. Women took care of children

Problem 1 - When a guy is trying to seduce a girl ... he is trying to do so by using logic. This is a mistake, if you want to seduce a girl you need to give her emotions!

Emotions

The two types of emotions:

  1. Positive Emotions - This is when you make her feel good (happy, liked, loved and so on)
  2. Negative Emotions - This is when you make her hate you (cry, angry, confused and so on)

Believe it or not, negative emotions are better than no emotions at all. So technically next time you see that cute blonde (with a perfect ass) in the subway, you are more likely to seduce her if you tell her she is fat than you are if you don't give her any emotions at all.

Positive emotions will make some very cute girls like you, but if you want them to love you ... you give them mixed emotions.

Mixed Emotions

Too much of a good thing will eventually become boring ... a fight once in awhile is beneficial.

Good guys are boring and predictable ... mixed emotions will solve that problem in part.

By giving her mixed emotions you will keep her on her toes. The goal is to be a challenge for your woman (and this way she won't know what you will do next, or when you might leave her)

What happens today

Men are becoming more feminine, and women are becoming more masculine.

Men are becoming more feminine because:

  • When it comes to survival - society today doesn't require a man to be strong (emotionally, mentally, physically)
  • Many male children grow up with no father (or a father that can't teach his boy how to be a real man)
  • Lack of role models

Women are becoming more masculine because:

  • A negative aspect of the emancipation movement

The truth is that many women are unsatisfied sexually and emotionally. And guys ... it is your fault.

You should:

  1. Stop treating her like she is made out of porcelain. Your girl likes to have sex as much as you do, and most of them want a man that is powerful and can dominate them.
  2. Give your woman mixed emotions.
  3. Stop putting beautiful women on a pedestal. I saw this beautiful girl in a club dancing by herself. (medium length blonde hair, very nice ass, sexy dressed, beautiful face) All the guys wore looking and her but they did nothing. I went to her and we started dancing, and after awhile we took a brake and I invited her to my table and at some point I asked:

Me: How come a beautiful girl like you was dancing alone?

Her: Most guys are intimidated by me.

So guys ... don't be intimidated of beautiful women. All they want is a confident guy that can protect them, and make them happy.

Just be a man!

Texas 101

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The Good

Texas has the 2nd largest economy in the nation (the 9th economy in the world). There are lots of Fortune 500 companies that call Texas home. There is lots of oil and natural gases, and our laws are business friendly (open shop workers unions). There are many military bases, and the agricultural sector is developed.

The people are friendly, the food is great (thanks to our Mexican friends), and the women are beautiful (and that's an understatement).

The weather is simply amazing (except for 3 months during the summer - when is very hot).
In November, it is not uncommon to have temperatures in the mid 70s.

The Bad

It depends on the location, but the average Texan is not particularly educated (only about 20% of the people in my town are college educated). We like the simple pleasures of life.

We enjoy:
  • Nascar ... it is something great about watching people spinning in circles
  • We love to kill innocent animals
  • "Who wants to be a millionaire" is for those stupid Yankees up north ... we enjoy "Deal or no Deal"
  • Dancing and listening to Country Music.
  • Watching football

People here are extremely religious, and very conservative. In my town, the only way for people to socialize is by going to church (every week ... over and over again)

Texans are republicans - in my county they voted for McCain 70-30%. Do I need to say more?

Interesting Facts

1) In Onley, TX alcohol is illegal for all ages.

2) Harrold Independent School district allows teachers to carry concealed weapons to class.

The Ugly

Racism is present in every fact of life.It is unfortunate but KKK is still active.

Some Texans believe that all the Arabs are terrorists.

During this election, 23% of Texans thought Obama is a Muslim.

True Story: I was helping a redneck at Best Buy ... he became irate and he called me a terrorist.

How my week looks like

School:

  • What I love (and hate) about college is that I can go for weeks with no exams.

  • The hate part comes into play when all my professors decide to test me in the same week.

It's all about extremes. I moved from no exams in the past two weeks, to having 3 exams in 2 days.

But hey ... I'm a big boy, I can handle myself.

We are not friends, it's just business

I'm happy, I smile a lot and I'm a genuinely positive guy. I try to see the good in any situation, and I try to find the good in everyone I speak and interact with.

Some people might call me naive, and I will be the first to agree that this is indeed the case. I've learned the hard way that as we are growing up the relationships between people transform from genuine friendship to some sort of a need based conditional friendship.

My experience with people is summed up in the following statements:

  1. Yes, I am your friend as long as you can give me [blank]
  2. I scratch your back, and you scratch mine.
  3. Let's play together

(About statement 1) Have you ever been in a position of power and you suddenly became very popular?

In 2005 I was promoted into a middle-management position at a small company (about 50 paid and volunteer workers) I was very influential and suddenly everyone was my friend. We worked together, we partied together, and we laughed together. I was respected and I respected everyone.

In 2007 the company was purchased by a bigger, more established firm; and a month later I resigned.

Where are all those friends now? I have no idea, for some reason they stopped calling. Could it have something to do with me not being able to influence their career anymore?

People are your friends when they have something to gain, or something to lose by doing otherwise. Obviously being friends with the boss has its perks.

(About statement 2) Think of a relationship between a man and a woman. The woman needs someone to satisfy her emotional needs, and the guy needs someone to satisfy his sexual needs. It's a trade, an exchange of "services".

(About statement 3) This is what I call genuine friendship, this is the relationship you had with your buddies growing up.
No one had a secret plan, you were all there and you wanted to have fun.

Conclusion:

  1. Keep your childhood friends close, they might be your only real friends.
  2. Anyone that needs your money (barber, stripper, waiter, car salesman etc.) will be extra nice with you, but that doesn't mean they genuinely like you.

About my year in Europe (2009)

In the US you are expected to move-out at 18. You still live with your parents? That means you are some kind of mama's boy loser. In Romania on the other hand, guys are expected to live with their parents until they get married.

I'm sad to inform you that I'm one of those "losers" ... and here are the reasons why:

  1. Instead of living on my own and spending all my money on bills, I would rather invest that in my flying career (and at 170$/h of flight time, I need all the help I could get)
  2. It's comfortable, I don't worry about bills and I don't worry about cooking my own food.

On the other hand I feel that this is hindering my evolution, it is slowing me down. I feel that my lack of real world challenges makes me weaker as an individual, and that this family cocoon doesn't help me achieve the maturity level necessary to run a family when that time comes.

Fortunately I was offered the chance to change this. Next year I will live, and study in Europe. It is the opportunity I was looking for, it is time for me to step-up and face the world. It is time for me to be THE MAN.

France and Spain here I come!

About the Future

I aspire to greatness, and I'm very modest too :) .

Here is "The Plan":

School:
  1. Finish this semester with 3.8 GPA or better
  2. Be succesful in my one year of Study Abroad
  3. Ace the LSAT
  4. Finish my International Studies degree with a 3.75 GPA or better
  5. Get accepted to an Ivy League Law School (preferably Harvard)

Flying:

  1. Finish my IFR rating by the end of 2009
  2. Get my single/multi engine commercial license by the end of 2010
  3. My instructor license in the first quarter of 2011

Politics:

  1. Get elected in to the state senate by mid 30 s
  2. Congress - maybe
  3. Senate - in my early 50s

It will be almost impossible to do both politics and an airline pilot career. But I like to have different options, my airline pilot career is conditional to me being healthy ... I don't want to find myself in a situation where I will have to retire in my 40s and starve to death.

The Ivy League plan is a way to test myself, and my commitment. I will probably not attend unless I get a full scholarship (junior pilots don't make enough money to afford Harvard Law)

About The Author

Hi everyone, my name is Vlad. I've been blogging for awhile, it is just my way of keeping a hopefuly daily journal (isn't it funny how guys call it a "journal" and the ladies call it a "Diary").

I was born in Romania some 20 something years ago in a large city 30 or so miles away from Bucharest (the capital). I have a sister ( I love you Iri ), two supportive parents and an awesome cat named Kiki. While growing up I was your run of the mill average Joe, I was smart and I had lots of potential but not very focused and a bit lazy.

I am grateful for my life in Romania, for my friends and I am happy to have experienced that culture.

When I was 15 years old I moved to Central Pennsylvania. A beautiful mountain town, with ski slopes and great people (some of them wore more conservative than the Pope but we can't all be perfect). Two weeks after that I started High School, some of my best years of my life.

One of my dreams, ever since I was a child, was to become a pilot. I started flying lessons in November 2005 and I've flying ever since. In May 2007 I became a fully licensed pilot.

After I graduated High School, I applied and got accepted to Penn State University. I went there for 18 months, living the good life, going to concerts, clubbing, dancing, and working at Best Buy.

In August of this year I moved to a medium sized town in North Texas (12 miles from the Oklahoma border). Even though we voted 70%-30% in favor of McCain, our county is and island of democracy in an ocen of republican followers. Neighbouring counties voted for McCain in the 85 - 90% range :).

I'm pretty sure there are more cows than people here, and I finally understand what all those rednecks jokes are about. On the other hand, the university here is a great value, with good professors and friendly staff (and I still work at Best Buy - A much more redneck version of it, but Best Buy nevertheless)
